Psychiatrist

Dr Ankur Gupta

Honorary Lecturer in Psychiatry (UQ)

Dr Ankur Gupta is a consultant psychiatrist with extensive experience in providing independent medical examination reports (IME), both here in Australia and in the UK for more than 15 years. His reports have tackled matters such as work related injury, mental capacity, pre-sentencing, criminal responsibility, motor vehicle accidents, institutional abuse and parenting capability. Dr Gupta also specialises in assessing claims related to Medical Negligence. He has provided expert evidence to legal bodies in Scotland and Australia.

He is recognised in Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania as competent to assess permanent impairment from psychiatric disorders. He is a panel specialist for assessing psychological injury for WorkCover Queensland and Motor Accident Injury Assessment Scheme (MAIAS) South Australia. He is certified to assess psychological injury with AMA 5 and has attended training with the Australian College of Legal Medicine.

Dr Gupta has expertise in treating resistant psychiatric disorders including Depression, OCD, Anxiety, Adjustment Disorders and PTSD.

He is able to assess clients at Brisbane Psychiatry Centre or via a secure videolink.

Deepa is an experienced practice manager with exceptional customer service skills. She works tirelessly to provide the clients with a respectful and responsive service.

Mrs Ravina Bhalla

Ravina Bhalla brings her keen eye for detail and dedication to excellence to the Brisbane Psychiatry Centre as a Quality Assurance Specialist and Proofreader. With over seven years of experience as a social worker, Ravina has developed a strong foundation in communication and content management. She holds a master’s degree in social work and has worked with non-governmental organisations in India, focusing on women's empowerment and child development.

Her work has involved managing communications, creating high-quality, engaging content, and providing business training to support women’s financial independence. Ravina's experience in proofreading and content creation is complemented by her expertise in digital marketing, further enhancing her ability to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with the Centre’s goals. Passionate about mental health advocacy, she is committed to maintaining the highest standards for the Centre's digital presence.
